I really like this pic too. There's no photoshop work about the ice floe. We were blocked in the corridors of the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix (we missed the last lift to get down and had to sleep there). When the sunset came we saw the ice floe beside the windows. It gave us a very peacefull feeling and Matt took some pictures to immortalized this magic moment.

Ah, les douces nuits dans les couloirs (les chiottes?) de l'aiguille... D'habitude on n'en garde pas des souvenirs "peaceful" ni vraiment "magic"?!
Mais c'est surement parce qu'on a pas une nymphe de la varappe pour accompagner nos nuits...

Sorry Liv I forgot to check back, we did Christmas & New Year and had a great time in La Grange & Le Monal. Back 16th March for two weeks if the snow lasts. I'll watch out for you thumbing a lift!

c'est l'anarchie climatique ! gel dégel ... la pratique de la cascade de glace en dessous de 3000 ne devient elle pas une pratique en voie de disparition ???
